Elara was founded by Caroline McKenna from a love of movement, wellbeing, travel and creating spaces where people can truly feel good.
Although Caroline tends to stay behind the scenes, Elara is very much a reflection of her own journey and passions. With years of experience in fitness, breathwork, Pilates and a deep interest in mental wellbeing, Caroline wanted to create something that went beyond simply another place to work out.
Her years of travelling and experiencing different wellness spaces around the world inspired her to bring together the things she loves most — movement, connection, wellbeing, beautiful surroundings and a sense of calm — and create a space that feels different.
Caroline is a fully qualified Mat Pilates and Reformer Pilates instructor and, although you’ll often find her quietly in the background, she is regularly in classes and occasionally steps onto the Reformer to teach.
Elara has been carefully curated around the belief that movement should make you feel good — physically and mentally. It’s a place to switch off from the outside world, reconnect with yourself, challenge your body and leave feeling better than when you arrived.
Every detail of Elara has been created with that feeling in mind.
Elara is more than just a Pilates studio—it’s a community. Designed to help clients feel stronger, more balanced, and revitalized, Elara offers a welcoming space where movement meets connection. Our focus isn’t just on physical fitness but also on building friendships, boosting confidence, and creating a supportive environment where clients can socialize while working towards a healthier lifestyle. Whether you’re looking to improve strength, flexibility, or overall well-being, Elara provides a tailored experience to help you feel your best—both physically and mentally.
